Linda Schultz

Linda has a bachelor’s degree in social work. She considers her 30+ years of volunteer work assisting numerous individuals living with mental illness, past prison terms, poverty, or disability a privilege. She and her husband were owners of both inner city and rural rental property for 10 years. Her twenty-five year career in the insurance industry has led to her current position as the East Coast regional medical technology underwriter for a major insurance carrier. Linda has a passion for social justice and helping those on the edge of society’s norms. She and her husband have two teenagers.

Terry Doloughty

Terry’s community volunteering began in the late 1970s establishing and maintaining community gardens on Polish Hill, where he served multiple terms as the president of the Polish Hill Civic Association. Terry also volunteers with Allegheny CleanWays, The Western Pennsylvania Conservancy, Tree Pittsburgh, Design Six, Sprout Fund, Grow Pittsburgh, the Permaculture Working Group, Grow Pittsburgh, and Clean Green Hill. He is a community activist and problem solver. Managing a small business for many years, Terry’s leadership skills have been tested and proven effective. Terry attends classes around Pittsburgh and shares what he learns with others. Taking his passion for community building to the next level, Terry left his plumbing wholesale career and is now a Community Development Specialist at CTAC.

Aaron Risden, CPA

Aaron is the chief administrative officer of a regional vision insurance company, responsible for accounting, finance, IT, and eligibility/claims. He previously was a controller for a privately held company and a senior manager at a top 25 U.S. accounting and consulting firm in Pittsburgh. Aaron provides audit, accounting and consulting services to private businesses in a variety of industries, as well as to employee benefit plans. He was the 2012-2013 President of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) and has previously served the Pittsburgh Chapter of the PICPA as co-chair of the Community Involvement and Social Responsibility Committee, chair of the Member Services Committee and as a member of the Executive Committee. Aaron was recognized as one of PICPA’s 40 Under 40 Members to Watch in 2008. Aaron received his undergraduate and graduate degrees in accounting from the University of Pittsburgh.

Alex Lake

Alex is serving his first term as a CARE Ownership board member. Alex moved to Pittsburgh to perform a year of voluntary service through the Pittsburgh Urban Leadership Service Experience. A recent graduate of Chatham University’s MAcc program and an associate at CrawfordEllenbogen LLC, he remains connected to the city’s nonprofit community through volunteer work. In his free time Alex runs, cooks, plays disc golf, and studies for the CPA exam! Alex recently was first prize winner of the essay contest of The Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) for his writing on “The Practice of Sustainability Reporting, its Challenges, and its Value for Investors.”

Jed Stancato

Jedediah Stancato joined TFC Consulting, Inc. as a manager in their federal government consulting practice in June 2014. With over 13 years’ experience in accounting, specializing in not-for-profit accounting and auditing, Jed brings an understanding to the needs of his federal government clients.
As an audit manager for Grant Thornton, Inc., Jed led various not-for-profit and employee benefit plan audit engagements, including audits of university foundations, life science organizations, and other not-for-profit organizations. Jed was the audit manager of Gurman and Company, PLLC in Fairfax, Virginia, managing the firm’s entire audit practice. He held various positions in three accounting firms in Ohio and Pennsylvania. Jed holds a master of science in accountancy degree from the University of Akron and a bachelor of business administration from Kent State University. He is an active member of the Association of Government Accountants, the Association for Certified Fraud Examiners, the Virginia Society of CPAs, and the American Institute for Certified Public Accountants.

Tammy T. Thompson

Tammy T. Thompson, Sole Proprietor of Thompson Real Estate Consulting, is a Certified Paralegal, who has been working in the real estate industry for over 15 years.  Beginning her career as a property abstracter (title searcher), she became a Licensed PA Title Agent in 2004 and managed the Closing Department of a major Pittsburgh title company for 3 years, closing over 1000 loans.  Ms. Thompson has been a Notary Public since 1995 and has independently closed residential and commercial loans since 1999.

Ms. Thompson discovered her passion for helping low-income families become 1st time homeowners, through her work at NeighborWorks, Western PA. There she developed and facilitated curriculum that focuses on the emotional impact that poverty has on families.  She continues to offer credit counseling and Financial Education to families seeking self-sufficiency through building wealth  at Thompson Real Estate Consulting.

Courtney Cochran

Courtney joined the Office of Community Service as a Client Support Representative for the Allegheny County Department of Human Services in April 2015. She assists with the Summer Food Service Program and the Child And Adult Care Food Program provide nutritious aid to those in need and diligently work to improve access to food and ensuring healthful diets. She is also a Regional Organizer for the Election Engagement Project. The national non-partisan project helps colleges and universities get students involved in elections and help their institutions gain resources needed to put together the most effective outreach team.

Cochran has a Master of Science in Legal Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from California University of Pennsylvania. This is her first term serving on the CARE Ownership Board and she looks forward to serving the community.

Michaela Robbins

Michaela  originally hailing from Massachusetts, has called Pittsburgh home for the last four
years. She works in property management for PMC Property Group and has enjoyed investing in the community through organizations like Big Brother Big Sister of Greater Pittsburgh and Bethany Hospice.
